Export of cocoa beans from Sao Tome and Principe rises in 2016

In comparison with the prior year cocoa beans export climbed by 8.14 percent, new data from United Nations Statistical Office highlight. Cocoa beans export rose from 8 000 134 US Dollar in 2015 to 8 650 983 US Dollar previous year, versus the prior year when it decreased by 14.3%. The overall changes for the previous 18 years hit a growth of 322.23%. Furthermore, it has attained a 0.12% compound annual growth rate over the five years with a modest overall rise since the start of observations. It averaged 4 891 413.22 US Dollar from 1999 to 2016 and it reached its all-time high of 9 334 863 US Dollar in 2014 and record low of 2 048 899 US Dollar in 1999.
