Import of yarn of artificial staple fibres not packaged for retail sale to Latvia: Growth in 2017

In comparison with the previous year yarn import sharply rose by 56.25 percent, according to figures announced by European Commission. The indicator strongly went up from 12 800 kilogram to 20 000 kilogram, in contrast to the previous year when it went down by 58.97 percent. Latvia saw a decrease of 63.83% in yarn import over the past 15 years. Furthermore, it has shown a negative compound annual growth rate of 0.13 percent during the 5 years with a modest overall diminution since the start of observations. It averaged 39 626.67 kilogram from 2003 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 87 600 kilogram in 2011 and record low of 12 800 kilogram in 2016.
