Import of medicaments of other antibiotics packaged for retail sale to Luxemburg increases in 2017

According to refreshed figures issued by European Commission, compared to the previous year the indicator increased by 6.7 percent. Antibiotic import went up from 1 536 170 Euro in 2016 to 1 639 040 Euro prior year, contrarily to the previous year when it decreased by 2.28 percent. Luxemburg saw a decrease of 12.45% in antibiotic import over the past 19 years. Besides, it has shown a negative compound annual growth rate of 0.12% during the last 5 years with a modest overall drop since the 1999. It averaged 2 967 194.74 Euro from 1999 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 5 563 610 Euro in 2012 and record low of 1 248 220 Euro in 2002.
