Fuel oil consumption in manufacture of measuring instruments and machinery for cultural activity and office work in China: Drop in 2015

Compared with the previous year fuel oil consumption dropped greatly by 41.51%, according to adjusted data released by China National Statistical Office. The variable fell sharply from 0.53 ten thousand metric ton to 0.31 ten thousand metric ton, compared to the prior year when it grew by 3.92%. China saw a raise of 106.67% in fuel oil consumption over the past 16 years. However, it has shown a decrease at a 0.06% compound annual growth rate during the last five years with a overall rise since the start of observations. It averaged 0.26 ten thousand metric ton from 2000 to 2015 and it hit its all-time high of 0.53 ten thousand metric ton in 2014 and record low of 0.1 ten thousand metric ton in 2003.
