Import of live pure-bred breeding swine to Czech Republic: Drop in 2016

In comparison to the previous year swine import strongly went down by 37.58 percent, according to updated numbers published by United Nations Statistical Office. The variable sharply decreased by 67 571 kilogram, in contrast to the prior year when it went up by 51.33%. Czech Republic saw a diminution of 36.92% in swine import over the past 24 years. Moreover, it has had a drop at a 0.1% average annual growth rate during the five years with a marginal overall raise since the start of observations. It averaged 164 877.71 kilogram from 1993 to 2016 and it reached its all-time high of 501 709 kilogram in 2007 and record low of 25 254 kilogram in 2000.
