Import of knitted or crocheted babies' garments and clothing accessories of synthetic fibres to Ireland decreases in 2017

United Nations Statistical Office reported that in comparison with the prior year baby clothing import decreased by 7.74 percent. The indicator dropped from 215 602.19 kilogram in 2016 to 198 912.3 kilogram previous year, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it declined by 5.75%. Ireland saw a decrease of 29.42% in baby clothing import over the past 26 years. Furthermore, it has had a negative compound annual growth rate of 0.06 percent over the 5 years with a negligible overall growth since the 1992. It averaged 223 587.52 kilogram from 1992 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 303 446 kilogram in 2001 and record low of 130 145 kilogram in 1995.
