Export of capsicum from Mozambique grows in 2016

According to statistics published by United Nations Statistical Office, in comparison to 2015 capsicum export went up greatly by 797.68 percent. The variable grew sharply from 32 068 kilogram in 2015 to 287 869 kilogram prior year, compared with the previous year when it fell by 91.05%. Mozambique saw an increase of 763.62% in capsicum export over the past 14 years. Besides, it has had the average annual growth rate of 1.7 percent during the last 5 years with a modest overall growth since the start of observations. It averaged 82 934 kilogram from 2003 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 358 307 kilogram in 2014 and record low of 1 831 kilogram in 2009.
