Flax yarn import sharply declined by 96.86% in 2016, according to statistics published by European Commission. The indicator fell strongly by 15 400 kilogram, versus the previous year when it rose by 5 200%. Denmark saw a drop of 93.24% in flax yarn import over the past 14 years. Likewise, it has attained a decrease at a 0.19 percent compound annual growth rate during the five years with a marginal overall fall since the start of observations. It averaged 5 178.57 kilogram from 2003 to 2016 and it reached its all-time high of 15 900 kilogram in 2015 and record low of 300 kilogram in 2014.
