Import of medicaments of other antibiotics packaged for retail sale to Slovakia drops in 2016

Antibiotic import fell by 12.26% in comparison to the prior year, updated figures from European Commission illustrate. The variable declined from 42 979 700 Euro to 37 710 928 Euro, contrarily to the previous year when it rose by 13.36%. Slovakia saw a rise of 104.89% in antibiotic import over the past 17 years. However, it has shown a negative average annual growth rate of 0.01 percent during the five years with a marginal overall increase since the start of time series. It averaged 34 671 688.24 Euro from 2000 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 45 900 112 Euro in 2008 and record low of 14 221 320 Euro in 2003.
