Raw steel production in South Korea: Decline in 2017

U.S. Geological Survey announced that the variable dropped negligibly by 3.01 percent in 2017. Steel production decreased barely from 67 000 thousand tonnes to 64 982.18 thousand tonnes, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it declined by 4.29 percent. South Korea saw an increase of 62.88% in steel production over the past 20 years. Though, it has had a negative CAGR of 0.04% during the last 5 years with a negligible overall raise since the start of time series. It averaged 53 898.49 thousand tonnes from 1998 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 81 213 thousand tonnes in 2013 and record low of 39 321 thousand tonnes in 2012.
