Import of yarn of artificial staple fibres packaged for retail sale to Portugal decreases in 2016

In comparison to the previous year the variable sharply fell by 88.77%, refreshed statistics from European Commission reveal. Yarn import strongly diminished by 191 530 Euro, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it dropped by 60.5%. Portugal saw a drop of 35% in yarn import over the past 9 years. Besides, it has had a fall at a 0.13 percent average annual growth rate over the five years with a slight overall growth since the start of time series. It averaged 126 312.22 Euro from 2008 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 546 320 Euro in 2014 and record low of 17 360 Euro in 2011.
