Chromium consumption in Italy: Decline in 2017

The indicator diminished by 11.67 percent in 2017, new numbers from U.S. Geological Survey display. It's new all-time low since 2003 as the variable dropped by 18.5 thousand tonnes, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it decreased by 10.45 percent. Italy saw a drop of 29.29% in chromium consumption over the past 15 years. Moreover, it has had a negative compound annual growth rate of 0.08% over the 5 years with a negligible overall decline since the 2003. It averaged 215.99 thousand tonnes from 2003 to 2017 and it hit its maximum of 308 thousand tonnes in 2009.
