Export of garnetted stock of cotton from Canada: Increase in 2017

United Nations Statistical Office announced that cotton export rose sharply by 59 140 percent compared to the previous year. The indicator climbed strongly from 15 kilogram to 8 886 kilogram, in contrast to the prior year when it fell by 96.7 percent. Canada saw a decrease of 53.35% in cotton export over the past 28 years. Moreover, it has shown a growth at a 1.27% compound annual growth rate during the 5 years with a slight overall rise since the 1990. It averaged 10 246.79 kilogram from 1990 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 157 621 kilogram in 2008 and record low of 3 kilogram in 2006.
