Import of homogenized preparations of meat and meat offal to Canada: Decrease in 2016

The indicator decreased by 29.22% compared to the prior year, revised data from United Nations Statistical Office reveal. Processed meat import fell from 485 513 kilogram to 343 668 kilogram, in comparison with the previous year when it grew by 273.88 percent. Canada saw a raise of 172 597.49% in processed meat import during the last 28 years. Moreover, it has had a 0.25 percent average annual growth rate during the last five years with a marginal overall growth since the start of time series. It averaged 231 545.04 kilogram from 1989 to 2016 and it hit its all-time high of 1 195 850 kilogram in 2008 and record low of 199 kilogram in 1989.
