Re-import of safes and strong-boxes of base metal to South Africa decreases in 2017

Home hardware import greatly declined by 66.53 percent compared to the previous year, updated figures from United Nations Statistical Office present. The indicator strongly went down by 1 822.26 kilogram, in comparison to the prior year when it rose by 2 639 percent. South Africa saw a rise of 67.9% in home hardware import during the last 16 years. However, it has had a decline at a 0.11% compound annual growth rate over the 5 years with a negligible overall decrease since the start of observations. It averaged 1 286.48 kilogram from 2002 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 5 234 kilogram in 2010 and record low of 64 kilogram in 2011.
