Import of fibreboard of a density exceeding 0.5 g/cm3 but not exceeding 0.8 g/cm3 mechanically worked or surface covered to Iceland: Raise in 2016

The indicator greatly rose by 40.02% compared to the prior year, updated statistics from United Nations Statistical Office highlight. It's the highest number ever noted since 1988 as wood product import climbed sharply by 1 352 022 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it grew by 35.36 percent. Iceland saw a growth of 12 483.01% in wood product import over the past 29 years. Furthermore, it has shown a 0.21% average annual growth rate during the last 5 years with a modest overall increase since the 1988. It averaged 844 134.1 kilogram from 1988 to 2016 and it reached its minimum of 67 kilogram in 2000.
