Iron ore production, gross weight, in Indonesia drops in 2014

Iron ore production fell by 24.68 percent in comparison to the prior year, according to revised figures released by U.S. Geological Survey. Iron ore production went down from 4 000 thousand tonnes to 3 013 thousand tonnes, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it decreased by 16.67%. The overall changes for the prior 17 years reached a rise of 437.63%. However, it has attained a drop at a 0.08 percent average annual growth rate during the last five years with a marginal overall growth since the start of time series. It averaged 1 411.49 thousand tonnes from 1998 to 2014 and it hit its all-time high of 4 800 thousand tonnes in 2012 and record low of 32.2 thousand tonnes in 2005.
