Chromium consumption in Canada climbs in 2017

Compared to the previous year chromium consumption grew by 8.11%, new figures from U.S. Geological Survey highlight. The variable rose from 18.5 thousand tonnes in 2016 to 20 thousand tonnes prior year, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it increased by 8.82%. Canada saw a drop of 25.93% in chromium consumption over the past 15 years. Besides, it has had a 0.07 percent CAGR over the last 5 years with a overall diminution since the start of time series. It averaged 19.41 thousand tonnes from 2003 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 27 thousand tonnes in 2003 and record low of 13.65 thousand tonnes in 2011.
