Export of plain weave cotton of yarns of different colours containing more than 85% by weight of cotton weighing more than 200 g/m2 from Latvia: Diminution in 2016

The indicator went down strongly by 48.03 percent in 2016, revised figures from United Nations Statistical Office demonstrate. Cotton export sharply declined from 2 975 US Dollar to 1 546 US Dollar, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it diminished by 33.15%. The overall changes for the prior 19 years hit a raise of 27.66%. However, it has had a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.41% over the 5 years with a negligible overall increase since the start of observations. It averaged 22 163.79 US Dollar from 1998 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 101 160 US Dollar in 2006 and record low of 71 US Dollar in 2003.
