Chromium consumption in Russia: Drop in 2015

Compared to one year earlier chromium consumption went down by 7.45 percent, new data from U.S. Geological Survey illustrate. The indicator diminished from 349 thousand tonnes to 323 thousand tonnes, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it fell by 0.57%. Russia saw a raise of 33.47% in chromium consumption over the past 13 years. As well as it has attained a rise at a 0.66% average annual growth rate during the last five years with a strong overall growth since the 2003. It averaged 297.23 thousand tonnes from 2003 to 2015 and it reached its all-time high of 497 thousand tonnes in 2009 and record low of 25.93 thousand tonnes in 2011.
