Import of jewellery and parts of precious metal except silver to Malta rises in 2016

Compared with the same time an year ago jewellery import sharply rose by 197.49%, revised statistics from United Nations Statistical Office reveal. Jewellery import climbed greatly by 18 132 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it increased by 129.87 percent. The overall changes for the previous 13 years reached a drop of 95.67%. As well as it has attained a negative CAGR of 0.25 percent over the last five years with a negligible overall fall since the 2004. It averaged 74 228.62 kilogram from 2004 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 630 479 kilogram in 2004 and record low of 1 227 kilogram in 2011.
