Value of manufacturers' shipments for petroleum and coal products in United States: Growth in May 2018

Manufacturing shipments for refined products climbed by 11.41% in comparison to the previous month, according to data published by U.S. Census Bureau. The variable went up from 54 113 million US Dollars to 60 288 million US Dollars, as it follows the tendency of the previous month when it grew by 4.89 percent. The year before, the indicator was growing by 2.1% and reached 44 270 million US Dollars the same month in 2017. This shows a 36.18 percent fluctuation between May 2017 and the same month one year later. The overall changes for the prior 26 years attained a growth of 467.31%. Furthermore, the manufacturing shipments for refined products is now above average of 34 971.47 million US Dollars with a negligible overall rise since the start of observations. It hit its all-time high of 86 341 million US Dollars in July 2008 and record low of 9 151 million US Dollars in January 1999.
