Export of hooks, eyes, eyelets, for clothing, footwear, bags of base metal from Mexico drops in 2017

Consumer goods export went down by 27.7 percent in 2017, according to figures released by United Nations Statistical Office. Consumer goods export declined by 29 055.55 kilogram, contrarily to the previous year when it rose by 1.69%. Mexico saw a fall of 52.38% in consumer goods export during the last 28 years. Moreover, it has had a growth at a 0.1% compound average annual growth rate over the five years with a negligible overall rise since the 1990. It averaged 2 057 448 657.37 kilogram from 1990 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 57 603 166 208 kilogram in 2004 and record low of 24 838 kilogram in 2010.
