Import of smoked herrings to Egypt: Decline in 2017

Herring import decreased sharply by 34.91 percent compared to the previous year, updated numbers from United Nations Statistical Office demonstrate. The variable went down strongly from 6 314 kilogram in 2016 to 4 109.48 kilogram previous year, in comparison to the prior year when it grew by 24.56 percent. The overall changes for the previous 21 years attained a drop of 91.5%. Besides, it has shown a decrease at a 0.09% average annual growth rate over the five years with a marginal overall diminution since the 1997. It averaged 4 005.98 kilogram from 1997 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 48 341 kilogram in 1997 and record low of 391 kilogram in 2011.
