Chromium consumption in Germany: Increase in 2015

The indicator rose by 7.06% in comparison to one year earlier, revised statistics from U.S. Geological Survey display. The variable went up from 85 thousand tonnes to 91 thousand tonnes, in contrast to the prior year when it decreased by 39.29 percent. Germany saw a drop of 67.84% in chromium consumption over the past 13 years. Likewise, it has shown a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.19% during the five years with a slight overall decline since the start of observations. It averaged 232.27 thousand tonnes from 2003 to 2015 and it reached its all-time high of 325 thousand tonnes in 2009 and record low of 85 thousand tonnes in 2014.
