Andalusite production in South Africa remains unchanged in 2017

According to refreshed figures presented by Industrial Minerals Magazine, the indicator did not change in comparison with the prior year. The andalusite production was 190 000 metric ton, for the 2nd consecutive year. South Africa saw a fall of 19.58% in andalusite production over the past 20 years. As well as it has attained a 0.01% compound annual growth rate during the last five years with a marginal overall decline since the start of observations. It averaged 195 448.85 metric ton from 1998 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 264 645 metric ton in 2007 and record low of 136 949 metric ton in 1999.
