Export of gum arabic from Guatemala: Decline in 2016

In comparison with one year earlier gum arabic export declined barely by 1.49%, according to new statistics released by United Nations Statistical Office. The indicator decreased slightly from 2 013 kilogram in 2015 to 1 983 kilogram prior year, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it diminished by 29.64%. The overall changes for the prior 18 years hit a rise of 46.24%. Still it has shown a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.13% during the five years with a marginal overall raise since the 1999. It averaged 1 250.06 kilogram from 1999 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 3 871 kilogram in 2012 and record low of 21 kilogram in 2008.
