Import of buttermilk to Latvia rises in 2017

In comparison with the previous year fermented milk import strongly increased by 41.58 percent, revised figures from European Commission indicate. The variable greatly rose from 368 540 Euro in 2016 to 521 770 Euro prior year, versus the previous year when it decreased by 41.09%. The overall changes for the prior 17 years attained a raise of 541.63%. Though, it has had a negative average annual growth rate of 0.17 percent over the last 5 years with a modest overall increase since the start of time series. It averaged 534 608.24 Euro from 2001 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 1 319 310 Euro in 2014 and record low of 81 320 Euro in 2001.
