Export of fresh or chilled scallops other than live from Ireland decreases in 2017

Scallops export went down strongly by 92.79 percent in comparison with the previous year, adjusted numbers from United Nations Statistical Office show. The indicator decreased sharply from 6 937 501 US Dollar in 2016 to 500 062.16 US Dollar prior year, versus the previous year when it increased by 8.34 percent. The overall changes for the prior 26 years reached a decline of 51.02%. Besides, it has shown a diminution at a 0.42 percent CAGR during the 5 years with a slight overall growth since the start of observations. It averaged 3 658 276.44 US Dollar from 1992 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 7 967 459 US Dollar in 2006 and record low of 361 631 US Dollar in 1993.
