Retail sales of audio and video recordings in Canada climbs in Q4 of 2017
Compared to the previous quarter audio equipment sales went up sharply by 31.63%, according to figures published by Canada National Statistical Office. The indicator strongly rose by 43 915 thousand Canadian Dollars, as it follows the tendency of the prior quarter when it grew by 4.1%. In 2016, the variable was climbing by 57.31% and attained 307 766 thousand Canadian Dollars in Q4. Year-on-year, this reveals a -40.62 percent shift between Q4 2016 and the same quarter the year after. The overall changes for the previous 5 years hit a decrease of 42.5%. Likewise, the audio equipment sales is now smaller than its average which equals 271 276.88 thousand Canadian Dollars with a negligible overall fall since the 2012. It reached its all-time high of 505 091 thousand Canadian Dollars in Q4 of 2012 and record low of 133 363 thousand Canadian Dollars in Q2 of 2017.
