Import of dormant bulbs, tubers, corms, crowns and rhizomes to Australia declines in 2016

In 2016 flower import dropped by 18.77 percent, revised statistics from United Nations Statistical Office pinpoint. The indicator went down from 5 927 313 kilogram in 2015 to 4 814 982 kilogram prior year, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it fell by 4.64%. Australia saw a rise of 11 008.51% in flower import during the last 29 years. Though, it has shown a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.01 percent over the last five years with a slight overall raise since the start of observations. It averaged 2 686 143.21 kilogram from 1988 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 6 215 747 kilogram in 2014 and record low of 43 345 kilogram in 1988.
