The indicator strongly went down by 85.7% compared to the same time an year ago, according to new statistics announced by European Commission. It's the lowest number in its history since 2006 as flax yarn import sharply decreased by 21 280 Euro, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it fell by 26.08 percent. Hungary saw a drop of 55.9% in flax yarn import during the last 12 years. Likewise, it has attained a decline at a 0.17 percent compound average annual growth rate over the last five years with a negligible overall raise since the start of time series. It averaged 19 052.5 Euro from 2006 to 2017 and it hit its maximum of 50 970 Euro in 2012.
