India Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority reported that in comparison to the previous year the indicator climbed by 21.87 percent. It's the highest level on record since 2012 as health insurance coverage increased by 78 500 thousands, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it rose by 24.65%. India saw a raise of 106.56% in health insurance coverage during the last 6 years. Moreover, it has had a 0.16 percent compound annual growth rate during the 5 years with a slight overall increase since the start of time series. It averaged 286 633.33 thousands from 2012 to 2017 and it reached its minimum of 207 300 thousands in 2013.
