Import of embroidery of natural textile fibres except cotton to Guyana climbs in 2016

United Nations Statistical Office announced that in comparison with the prior year textile import sharply climbed by 44.2%. Textile import went up strongly from 1 570 kilogram in 2015 to 2 264 kilogram previous year, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it grew by 53.17%. Guyana saw an increase of 54.75% in textile import over the past 26 years. However, it has attained a decrease at a 0.25 percent compound annual growth rate over the last five years with a modest overall rise since the start of time series. It averaged 125 873.54 kilogram from 1991 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 3 219 355 kilogram in 2010 and record low of 25 kilogram in 2004.
