Import of dried shelled lentils to Philippines grows in 2017

According to figures announced by United Nations Statistical Office, compared to the prior year the indicator climbed by 25.44%. Lentils import went up from 58 674 US Dollar to 73 599 US Dollar, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it rose by 24.36 percent. Philippines saw a rise of 245.6% in lentils import during the last 22 years. Still it has shown a decline at a 0.3 percent average annual growth rate over the last five years with a marginal overall growth since the 1996. It averaged 55 907.55 US Dollar from 1996 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 427 815 US Dollar in 2013 and record low of 1 572 US Dollar in 1997.
