Sales of sauces and preparations therefor, mixed condiments and mixed seasonings in Italy: Decrease in 2016

Compared with the previous year sauce sales strongly decreased by 47.06%, according to new data issued by European Commission. The variable declined sharply from 1 065 301 thousand kilograms in 2015 to 564 015 thousand kilograms prior year, versus the previous year when it grew by 278.25%. Italy saw a raise of 979.48% in sauce sales over the past 22 years. Besides, it has attained a rise at a 0.31 percent compound average annual growth rate during the five years with a marginal overall growth since the start of time series. It averaged 211 575.85 thousand kilograms from 1995 to 2016 and it hit its all-time high of 1 065 301 thousand kilograms in 2015 and record low of 52 249 thousand kilograms in 1995.
