Export of single cotton yarn of combed fibres containing more than 85% by weight of cotton, measuring per single yarn more than 714 decitex from China: Decrease in 2016

United Nations Statistical Office reported that cotton export declined greatly by 43.56 percent in comparison with the previous year. Cotton export strongly diminished by 400 783 kilogram, versus the prior year when it climbed by 76.7%. China saw a decrease of 53.08% in cotton export over the past 25 years. Furthermore, it has attained a negative compound annual growth rate of 0.08 percent over the last five years with a negligible overall rise since the start of time series. It averaged 1 050 615.12 kilogram from 1992 to 2016 and it hit its all-time high of 2 633 848 kilogram in 2004 and record low of 81 226 kilogram in 2001.
