Export of used postage and revenue stamps, first day covers from Hong Kong decreases in 2017

Consumer goods export diminished greatly by 98.2% compared with the prior year, according to statistics announced by United Nations Statistical Office. The indicator dropped strongly from 779 kilogram in 2016 to 14 kilogram previous year, contrarily to the prior year when it went up by 210.36 percent. Hong Kong saw a drop of 99.92% in consumer goods export during the last 16 years. Furthermore, it has had a negative average annual growth rate of 0.24% over the 5 years with a negligible overall decrease since the start of time series. It averaged 1 582.5 kilogram from 2002 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 16 588 kilogram in 2002 and record low of 5 kilogram in 2005.
