Import of true hemp yarn to Portugal: Growth in 2017

According to data announced by United Nations Statistical Office, in 2017 the indicator rose sharply by 60.67 percent. Vegetable fibre import went up strongly by 267.53 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it climbed by 127.32 percent. Portugal saw a raise of 139.37% in vegetable fibre import during the last 30 years. Furthermore, it has shown a rise at a 0.24 percent compound average annual growth rate over the last 5 years with a negligible overall growth since the start of observations. It averaged 2 278.68 kilogram from 1988 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 26 004 kilogram in 2006 and record low of 1 kilogram in 2009.
