Fuel oil demand in Nigeria: Decrease in May 2018

JODI Data published that the variable sharply dropped by 53.03% in comparison with the previous month. Fuel oil demand greatly decreased from 50.77 thousand tonnes to 23.85 thousand tonnes, in contrast to the prior month when it grew by 77.42%. The previous year, this fluctuation hit 54.99 percent and the indicator reached 28.61 thousand tonnes the same month in 2017. Year-on-year, this indicates a -16.67% change between May 2017 and the same month the year after. The overall changes for the previous 13 years attained a decrease of 54.54%. Besides, the fuel oil demand is now below average of 26.33 thousand tonnes with a overall decline since the 2005. It hit its all-time high of 162.15 thousand tonnes in December 2006 and record low of 4.62 thousand tonnes in November 2016.
