Housing units under construction in buildings with 5 units or more in United States decreases in July 2018

According to new statistics released by U.S. Census Bureau, in comparison with the previous month the variable went down hardly by 0.59%. The indicator negligibly dropped by 3.5 thousands, as it follows the tendency of the prior month when it decreased by 0.85 percent. The previous year, the variable was declining by -0.05% and hit 600.7 thousands in July 2017. Between July 2017 and July of the year after, the figures display a -1.45% variation. The overall changes for the previous 49 years reached a growth of 21.81%. Likewise, the building under construction is now higher than its average which equals 366.23 thousands with a overall decline since the 1969. It attained its all-time high of 919.7 thousands in August 1973 and record low of 108.9 thousands in August 1993.
