Export of fresh, preserved or cooked eggs from Dominican Republic: Decline in 2016

Eggs export sharply dropped by 40.06 percent in comparison to the prior year, according to new figures presented by United Nations Statistical Office. The variable fell strongly from 4 025 562 kilogram to 2 413 012 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it decreased by 50.5 percent. Dominican Republic saw a growth of 244.53% in eggs export during the last 21 years. However, it has shown a diminution at a 0.32% compound average annual growth rate over the last five years with a slight overall fall since the 1996. It averaged 6 092 601.38 kilogram from 1996 to 2016 and it hit its all-time high of 21 009 828 kilogram in 2003 and record low of 700 375 kilogram in 1996.
