Passengers carried on international airlines in Japan grows in 2014

Japan National Statistical Office announced that air passenger traffic increased by 9.06% compared with the previous year. The indicator rose from 15 085 thousand persons to 16 452 thousand persons, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it climbed by 7.77 percent. The overall changes for the prior 25 years attained an increase of 51.16%. Besides, it has attained a raise at a 0.02% compound annual growth rate during the 5 years with a slight overall growth since the 1990. It averaged 15 141.72 thousand persons from 1990 to 2014 and it reached its all-time high of 19 249 thousand persons in 2000 and record low of 10 348 thousand persons in 1991.
