Production of gold in semi-manufactured forms for non-monetary use in Portugal: Diminution in 2017

Compared with the previous year the indicator went down by 15.47 percent, according to numbers presented by European Commission. It's new all-time low since 2008 as gold production dropped by 28 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it diminished by 21.3 percent. Portugal saw a drop of 60.97% in gold production over the past 10 years. Moreover, it has had a diminution at a 0.1 percent compound annual growth rate during the five years with a modest overall decline since the start of time series. It averaged 300.9 kilogram from 2008 to 2017 and it hit its maximum of 655 kilogram in 2009.
