Export of metals clad with platinum from United States declines in 2017

In 2017 platinum export diminished by 25.62 percent, according to statistics presented by United Nations Statistical Office. The indicator decreased from 44 558 kilogram to 33 143.98 kilogram, in contrast to the previous year when it increased by 2 098.22 percent. United States saw a growth of 726.74% in platinum export during the last 18 years. Besides, it has had a rise at a 0.99% average annual growth rate over the 5 years with a marginal overall raise since the start of observations. It averaged 7 930.17 kilogram from 2000 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 44 558 kilogram in 2016 and record low of 672 kilogram in 2011.
