Sold production of denatured ethyl alcohol and other denatured spirits of any strength in Croatia declines in 2016

According to statistics released by European Commission, compared with the previous year ethanol sold production dropped by 8.77%. The indicator diminished by 62 100 l, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it decreased by 5.26%. The overall changes for the previous 16 years reached a rise of 219.91%. Though, it has attained a negative average annual growth rate of 0.1 percent over the last 5 years with a slight overall increase since the start of observations. It averaged 702 362.5 l from 2001 to 2016 and it hit its all-time high of 1 639 100 l in 2010 and record low of 120 100 l in 2009.
