Export of denim cotton containing 85% or more by weight of cotton and weighing more than 200 g/m2. From Brazil goes down in 2017

According to revised data released by United Nations Statistical Office, cotton export decreased greatly by 38.33 percent in 2017. The indicator sharply fell by 3 491 876 kilogram, contrarily to the prior year when it climbed by 15.47%. Brazil saw a fall of 61.64% in cotton export during the last 29 years. Likewise, it has shown a decline at a 0.01 percent compound annual growth rate during the 5 years with a marginal overall diminution since the start of time series. It averaged 20 867 894.72 kilogram from 1989 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 39 879 612 kilogram in 2003 and record low of 4 646 882 kilogram in 2014.
