Import of frozen, dried, salted or in brine octopus to Poland: Decline in 2017

The indicator strongly fell by 88.66 percent in comparison to the previous year, according to adjusted statistics presented by United Nations Statistical Office. The variable went down sharply from 1 426 999 US Dollar in 2016 to 161 771 US Dollar prior year, in contrast to the previous year when it increased by 59.2%. Poland saw a growth of 77.77% in octopus import over the past 17 years. Still it has shown a negative average annual growth rate of 0.21 percent during the five years with a negligible overall raise since the 2001. It averaged 367 502.41 US Dollar from 2001 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 1 426 999 US Dollar in 2016 and record low of 88 333 US Dollar in 2006.
