Import of yarn of synthetic staple fibres not packaged for retail sale to Latvia: Rise in 2016

Yarn import strongly increased by 121.14% compared with the previous year, according to numbers released by European Commission. Yarn import climbed sharply by 50 090 Euro, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it grew by 148.95%. Latvia saw an increase of 8.25% in yarn import over the past 14 years. However, it has attained a fall at a 0.1 percent average annual growth rate during the 5 years with a negligible overall decrease since the start of observations. It averaged 119 048.57 Euro from 2003 to 2016 and it reached its all-time high of 450 550 Euro in 2011 and record low of 16 610 Euro in 2014.
