Export of sweet potatoes from India: Decrease in 2017

According to updated statistics published by United Nations Statistical Office, in 2017 the indicator sharply fell by 43.13 percent. The variable went down greatly by 202 560 kilogram, contrarily to the previous year when it grew by 1.42 percent. The overall changes for the prior 29 years hit a growth of 2 058.29%. However, it has attained a negative average annual growth rate of 0.15% during the 5 years with a modest overall increase since the 1989. It averaged 267 933.28 kilogram from 1989 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 807 480 kilogram in 2009 and record low of 117 kilogram in 1997.
